It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Gloria Sanchez on February 2, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who brought warmth and love to everyone around her.

Gloria is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Henry Sanchez; her son, Henry Sanchez Jr., and his wife, Isabelle; her grandsons, Peter and Thomas; her daughter, Caroline Fagundes, and her husband, Laurindo; her granddaughter, Anjelica Roebuck, and grandson, Robert Roebuck; and her daughter, Evelyn Sanchez, along with her grandson, Nathan Sanchez-Torres.

Gloria was born to Lorenzo and Clara Torres in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the seventh of 11 siblings. She later moved to California, where she met Henry. Together, they created a beautiful family and life. Gloria dedicated herself to caring for her family, always offering unwavering love and support. She experienced great joy in being with her grandchildren and catching up with her family in New Mexico.

Gloria was passionate about cooking. She delighted her loved ones with her excellent meals, especially her cherished New Mexico chili, tamales, and persimmon cookies. Gloria had a sweet tooth and never passed up a delicious dessert. She also loved to travel, Hawaii being one of her favorite destinations. Gloria enjoyed playing the slot machines during her Reno and Las Vegas adventures. She also loved music.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves a legacy of love, family, and cherished moments. Gloria’s family and friends will never forget her.
