Obituaries

Gordon (Gordy) passed away in his home in Pleasanton with his wife Joan, son Jeff, family members and many friends surrounding him. He was loved by so many people because of his ''full of life" personality. He had many lifelong friends that he always made a point to call regularly. He grew up in Niles, CA and lived there until 1994 when he and Joan made the move to Pleasanton.

Gordy went to Logan HS and Mission San Jose HS. After that, Ohlone College, Cal State Bay Area, UCSF, and UC Santa Cruz. He loved being outside and so he decided that being a Carpenter was his calling. He worked for Citation Builders for many years. He was also a proud Navy Veteran.

Gordy had a very active life. He and Joan loved traveling, skiing, abalone diving, family gatherings and reading.

Gordy is survived by his wife Joan, son Jeffrey (Cusimano), daughter-in-law Holly (Cusimano), grandchildren Hannah, Jeffrey Jr, Gavin, Aiden, and Mia, his sister Denise Ekman, brother-in-law Scott Eckman and brother Keith Pine, and many more loving nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life for Gordy will be arranged when all family members can attend.
