You were the first to take me to Disneyland First to teach me how to make a grilled cheese sandwich (after I put 2 pieces of toast in the toaster and threw cheese on it) First to teach me how to pitch a tent (we camped everywhere) First to buy me a training bra (and wasn't embarrassed) First to have me ditch school to go to Great America First to lecture me about working and saving money First to show me what it takes to own your own business First to show me how to hitch a boat, dock it and then you dropped it on your toe while getting it in the water lol (took the whole toenail off) First to teach me how to check the oil in my car (1979 hatchback Honda Civic you bought me for $500) First to teach me to drive a stick shift First to take me camping up the Oregon, Washington and Canada coast. First to take me to Yosemite every year First to show me all the fancy restaurants First to buy me a water bed lol First to take me shopping at Clothestime and drop me off, give me your credit and let me shop all day with it.. First to take a walk with my highschool boyfriend and let him know my curfew and not to be a minute late plus some other rules I didn't get to hear (you even hired him to work for you) First to watch the Simpsons, Road runner, Tasmanian devil and Elmer Fudd with. First to make me love Sade and Janet Jackson First to be there when I was in labor with Jake and bust out the video camera lol (I told you to stop recording) First to put a roof on my first house First to pick me up when I was 4 years old and say you belong with us First to say call me Dad You seriously were the best example of how a man should be as a Dad and Husband. You are the reason I have such a great husband now. I wish you had more time on this earth because you would’ve had so much fun with your grandkids, you would’ve loved Eric. I wish with every fiber of my being that I could turn back time and change your path and keep you healthy. I hate that you missed all my other firsts.
