Obituary For James "Jimmy" Christopher Johnson
Jimmy was born on June 15, 1963 in Encino California and died unexpectedly on February 12, 2019 in Fremont California.
Jimmy was the sixth and youngest child. His family moved to Fremont in 1964. Jimmy attended St. Joseph’s Catholic school, Hopkins Jr. High and Mission San Jose High School. Jimmy was happy working with his hands and made his living doing handyman and construction work in the East Bay Area. He enjoyed working on cars, playing video games, listening to music, watching NASCAR and his all-time favorite driver was (of course) Jimmy Johnson. He loved gardening and canning vegetables and making jams from the fruits of his harvests. Jimmy loved a good BBQ and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He was also a collector of unusual things. He could find a use and value in most anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ollie Johnson and his brothers Gary and Scott Johnson.
He leaves behind his children Gary, Robert and Jessica Kane and his brother Nick Johnson, sisters Joan Munson and Patty Baldwin. He also leaves behind nephews and nieces, Michael Johnson, Nicole Miller, Megan and Rudy Rosales, Daniel and Jaimee Munson and many great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many life long friends that were very special to him. His family and friends will miss him dearly but take comfort knowing that he is finally at peace.
Memorial Services will be held privately at a later date.

Jimmy was a great man He was like a brother to me Thick or thin He was there I will miss him so much I have the same heart issues A-fib that's no joke I will see you soon my friend

Jimmy will be missed by many. He had one of the biggest hearts, he was always willing to help someone in need. I am grateful for the fifteen plus years I spent with him. We loved gardening and canning together, plus cooking. Jimmy was one of my best friends and I will really miss him. Even though we were not together we still remained good friends. I will miss you Jimmy :kiss::heart:
