Obituary For Jasper Leroy Moody
Jasper (Jay) Leroy Moody, age 90, of Union City, CA, formerly a long-time resident of Sunnyvale, CA, passed away in his sleep on April 20, 2018. Jay was born on August 28, 1927 in Santa Fe, NM.
Jay married the love of his life, Mary Carmen Moody, in San Francisco after his return from service in WWII. The couple settled in Sunnyvale in the early 1960's, where they raised their two children; Michael and Gary.
Jay was a glazier by trade who retired after 25 years in the industry. Jay was also a pilot and loved to fly. Jay will be remembered as a devoted and loving family man. Jay was known for his dry, yet good sense of humor. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Jasper Leroy Moody as we called him Jay for his stay of 7years at San Miguel Homes for the Elderly. I'll miss Jay for his great smile every day as he loved to be around people, he'd ask everyone who came up to him "well how are you, young man?" Sitting in his favorite rocking chair Jay would welcome you warmly to be by his side and enjoy a great conversation is what I'll miss most about him.
