Entered into rest on February 19, 2013 in Union City, CA at the age of 84. Devoted mother to Marta and Ramiro Valenzuela of Lodi, Connie and Rudy Estrada of Fremont, Leticia and Art Carman of Fremont, and Jim and Renee Gallegos of Union City. Dear mother-in-law to Angela Gallegos and Felicia Gallegos, both of Union City. Grandmother of 19, great-grandmother of 19, and great-great grandmother of 1. Beloved sister of Francisco Diaz of San Diego. Cherished sister-in-law of Lydia Black of NM. Predeceased by her husband Frank Gallegos, and her son Frankie Gallegos.

Born March 8, 1928 in Pacoima, CA, Sobeida was a member of the Guadalupanos Society of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Union City for over 35 years. She enjoyed serving as a former vice president and president. She also enjoyed cooking, and helping people. She had a large family and always loved having them around her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, from 5-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C St., Union City, CA 94587. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27, 10am at the church. Burial will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, CA.
