Obituary For Jess Coria
Jess A. Coria was born October 27, 1953, in Hayward, California to Jesus and Emma+ Coria. He grew up in Union City and resided in Fremont until his passing on July 25, 2025. Jess attended Decoto Elementary School and graduated from James Logan High School in 1971. He was passionate about baseball playing for his schools and in the Union City Little League. After high school, Jess attended Ohlone and Chabot Colleges then transferred to Cal State Hayward before joining the San José Fire Department as a Fireman Engineer for the City of San Jose on Truck #3. Jess was a career fireman, dedicating himself to caring for the community through his 28 years of service. Jess will be forever remembered and cherished by his loving family, parents, Jesus and Emma+ Coria of Fremont; siblings Maria Dolores Madrigal of Fremont, Sylvia Avila of Union City, Antonio (Tony) Coria of Fremont, Alex Coria+ of Union City, Lupe Sierra of Union City, Cecilia Salinas of Fremont, and Michael Coria+ of Union City; many nieces, nephews, tias, tios, cousins, and friends.

My condolences go out to the Coria family. Jess was a very kind person, whom I respected very much. I enjoyed playing baseball with him. Maybe someday I'll see him again, and we can play catch, and reminisce.
