Obituary For Joe R. Sankene
Born in Broken Bow, OK. Survived by his wife of 65 years Maxine, son Kyle, granddaughters Monique (Anthony), Ashley (Andrew) and Beau (David). Great grandchildren; Kalea, Kevaeh, Amerie, Andrew, Anthony, Lilly and Jackson.
Joe graduate from Washington High School in 1949, Cal Poly, and SJSU. He was a teacher and coach at James Logan High School for 30 years.
Joe was and avid golfer and belonged to Tracy Golf and CC. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955.
Per Joe's request, no services will be held.

I taught with him and coached with him for many years at Logan High School. He was a good man, a good teacher, and a good coach. What more can we ask for? RIP Joe William Rowland

I am just one of the many student athletes who was encouraged and taught by Joe. I will always remember him with the fondest of memories. I send his family my condolences and sympathies. Sincerely, Rich Winkel

Mr. Sankene was one of my coaches when I was a student at Logan High School from 1961-65. I remember him fondly and am greatly saddened to learn of his passing.
