Preceded in death by his parents, John I Jones and Carolyn Marie O’Hara Jones. Survived by his wife, Joanne Prass-Jones; daughter, Ashley (Drew) Sielski; stepsons, Perry (Hagit) Miller; Tony (Monica) Miller; grandchildren, Makayla, Andrew John, Nataniel, Talia, Yair, Raphael and Gabriel; brother, Alan (Cathy); nieces Lindsay and Carlisle. He worked in marketing, very knowledgeable about computers and software. For over 20 years John was involved in the American Iris Society, most recently the Registrar. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. John loved to cook, drink fine wine, scotch, and grow his own vegetables. He was a kind and loving man who always had the solution to any problem. John served in the Navy during the Vietnam War as a pilot earning the Defense Service Medal, Air Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. John was a true Renaissance man and he will be greatly missed by his family. Contributions in his honor can be made to the donor’s choice.
