Obituary For Jose F. de Oliveira

Jose de Oliveira of Fremont California passed away at the home of his son Joe and his wife Michele of Fernley Nevada on Wednesday June 26, 2019. Losing his battle with cancer and grieving the recent loss of his wife Amelia his best friend of 65 years plus the loss of his youngest son Louie.

Jose Francisco de Oliveira was the son of Henrique de Oliveira and Adelaide da Gloria Ribeiro born February 17, 1930 in Portugal

In 1959 Jose came to America with his wife Amelia, his 3 year old son Joe and just a few dollars in his pocket. He got a job as a Plasterer with Chitwood Brothers working for them his entire working career and took a lot of pride in that and the ability to take good care of his family which had grown by the addition of two more sons Michael and Louie.

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather; survived by his sons, Joe (wife Michele) & Michael (wife Terrie); his beloved grandchildren, Stacey, Cindy, Mark, Amy, Kari, Scott, and Savannah and his great-grandchildren, Mathew, Michele, Nicole, Wes, Christian, Hollee, Joey, Haylee, and Ashlee. He will be missed terribly by all.

He is predeceased in death by his beloved wife of 65 years Amelia and his Son Louie.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2019, Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont. A Rosary and Mass will be at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 11, 2019, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward.

    My grandparents were the best taught us about god lived by the rules of life they were soulmates and taught me how precious love was the stories of how my avoo courted my avo was the most beautiful story ever I will miss him always especially my last kiss to him he had me laughing when he said stacey my stacey I'm very sad but they've left a mark in my life I'll carry with me forever
