Obituaries

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jose Oliveira Garcia.

He passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 95. He leaves behind his loving wife of 71 years, Maria da Gloria Garcia. Daughters, Mary Jo Saca (John) and Bernadette Texeira (Michael). Son, Joe F. Garcia. Brother, Manuel A. Oliveira (Ana). Grandchildren, Greg, Ryan, Chris, Alyssa, and Great-Grandson, Samuel. And many more family and friends.

He was born in Salao Faial Azores, to Rosa Oliveira and Antonio Garcia da Rosa. He was an avid gardener, a 49er faithful, and once he retired, he and Maria loved to travel. He will be missed dearly.

Rest in Peace, Pai. We love you.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12th, at 10am with a Vigil Service and Mass to begin at 10:30am at Five Wounds Portuguese National Parish, 1375 E Santa Clara St., San Jose, CA 95116. A burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in San Jose.
