Obituary For Jose Quinonez Buenrostro

Entered into rest on March 18, 2012 in Fremont at the age of 90. Devoted father to Tony Buenrostro, Mondo Buenrosto, John Buenrostro, Carlos Buenrostro, Lupe Buenrostro, Leticia Buenrostro, Martha Trevino, Alma Buenrostro, Erika Cornejo, and Veronica Rivas. Loving grandfather of 27, and great-grandfather of 14. Caring brother to Nicolasa Gomez, Juan Buenrostro, and Rafael Buenrostro.

Born February 8, 1922 in Ocotlán, Jalisco, MX, Jose loved working on cars and even owned a car dealership in Mexico. In Mexico, he also owned a restaurant, and ran a store that sold leather goods among other things. He enjoyed the outdoors and farm animals.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 23, 11am at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 S. Fullerton Road, Rowland Heights, CA 91748.

    Apa, you may not have known it, but taught me so much about life. Thank you for teaching me about family. Thank you for teaching me about strength. Thank you for teaching me what it is to fight. Thank you for teaching me how powerful a smile is in any kind of situation. I'll always remember your vibrant, spunky spirit. I'll always remember going over to John's apartment in the summer and watching the Discovery Channel and Jose Luis Sin Censura with you. I'll always remember your hats. I'll always remember when we sat in the car together and cried when you went with my dad to drop me off at LMU during my freshman year. I love you.
