Joseph Pachinger, 77, of Newark, California, born December 5, 1947 passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on November 5, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto.

Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, including a tour in Vietnam, and returned home in January 1970. That same year he married and began building a family. Joseph is survived by his three sons- Chris, Jeff and Cory; his four grandsons, JJ, Wesley, Todd and CJ. He also leaves behind his five siblings; Grace Shaw, Deanna Pachinger, Roger Lopez, Jim Lopez and Robert Pachinger.

After his military service Joseph devoted most of his career to Raychem in Menlo Park, where he was known for his hard work, talent and reliability. His contributions were recognized with a Research and Development award in 1989-an honor that spoke to his ingenuity and dedication. Outside of work he was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors and his beloved 49ers. He also enjoyed woodworking, crafting pieces that reflected his patience and skill.

Joseph will be remembered for his integrity, his devotion to loved ones, and to the kindness and generosity he showed to those around him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed.
