Obituaries

Entered into rest on January 23, 2012 at the age of 66. Beloved mother to Forrest William McCoy III and Emery Robert McCoy of Idaho, Mary Katherine Khoury of San Ramon, Dreamer Leilani Tuaolo and William Moses Kealoha Hiram III of Union City. Dear sister to two step brothers, Fred and Sam Leonard. Preceded in death by her husband, William Moses Kealoha Hiram Jr., her daughter, April Leimomi Tuigamala; her mother, Mary Eva Leonard and step father, Emery Leonard. She is survived by 15 grandchildren: Rebekah Khoury, Melissa McCoy, Jessica Schmidt, Wesley Iereneo, Matthew McCoy, Nikolas Tuigamala, Patrick Tuigamala, Royce Silos, Anastasia Hiram, Vanessa Hiram, Launiu Tuaolo, Ocean Tuaolo, Kiana Tuigamala, Nani Tuigamala, and Alofa Tuaolo and also by 3 great grandchildren: Saddie, Lidia, and Blake.

Joyce was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family. She loved day trips to the lake and to the ocean and also enjoyed cooking and baking for family events. She also liked to take all the grandkids shopping with her. Joyce became known as everyone?s Grandma and enjoyed a special relationship with all of her grandchildren?s friends and treated them all as if they were her own grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 11am at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. A reception will follow. Private inurnment at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
