Obituary For June Vera Tibbetts

Born in Oakland CA and 51 year resident of Fremont, June passed away after battles with heart disease and diabetes.

June loved to sing, dance, and travel with her husband. Married 45 years to William H. Tibbetts, who preceded her in death 11/9/1995, their son William M. Tibbetts passed away 7/19/2012.

June?s loving care will be missed by daughters Nancy Forst, Teresa Whitlow and husband Joseph (Wes), grandchildren Brian Forst, Steven Tibbetts and wife Dianna, Jonathan Tibbetts, Melissa Whitlow, Kyle Whitlow, Trevor Whitlow, and great-grandchildren Isabel Tibbetts and Matthew Orender-Tibbetts.

June had many decades-long friends who enjoyed her generous spirit, beautiful smile and who had wonderful adventures with her at her Hawaii condo and on day trips to casino slot machines. June also loved playing card games.

Even while working 40+ years as a retail clerk, produce wrapper, and cook at the Dominican Convent, June volunteered at many church, school, music, and little league booster activities. June always gave her energy to making celebrations for family, friends and her beloved pet dogs. She will be greatly missed!

A Memorial Service will be held for June on Saturday, November 3, 1pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Either flowers or donations to the SPCA are welcome.

June was my family, friend and card partner. She was a very loving and giving person and would do just about anything for anyone if she could. She will be missed and never forgotten!

Although I didn't know June personally, I know she was a warm, generous, happy person because those qualities are certainly reflected in her daughter Teri. Many in this world will miss her, but she has left behind a wonderful part of herself in her children.

So sorry for your loss of this great woman. She was bigger than life ,full of laughter and joy. Her family was everything to her and she was fierce about protecting them. June and her family spent a lot of holiday times with our family and fellowship. Our loss is Heaven's gain. My heart goes out to all of you who have suffered two great losses this year. You are in my prayers.
