Entered into rest on January 31, 2014 in Fremont, CA at the age of 93. Devoted mother to Paul Eastman (Sue), Rondi Olson (Tom), Mark Eastman (Terry), and Victoria Ham (Roger). Beloved grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 14.

Born January 1, 1921 in North Dakota, Kathryn graduated from St. Olaf College and received her Master’s in Education from the University of Michigan. She was an avid bridge player, member of P.E.O., and Sons of Norway. She was an active member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Redondo Beach, CA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2pm at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 330 Palos Verdes Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90277. She has been laid to rest at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Kathryn to Resurrection Lutheran Church or DonorsChoose.org.
