Obituary For Ken Drybrae
The family of Kenneth W. Drybrae is saddened to announce the passing of Ken on June 15, 2023. He was born in Fresno on May 1, 1940, moved to San Francisco, and ultimately settled with his wife and family in Fremont.
Ken is survived by is wife (Carolyn), his son (Wayne), his daughter (Lynsey), 5 grandchildren, and his brother (Albert).
Ken had a great fascination with technology, especially computers. He worked with computers for Ampex and The Fremont School District.
Ken enjoyed family camping at Yosemite, skiing at Lake Tahoe, and his cruises to Alaska. He especially enjoyed playing cards with family and friends (heart and sets and runs). He enjoyed visiting Lake Elizabeth and friends once or twice a day. The walks became difficult but he still loved going to Lake Elizabeth Park.
Ken fought long and hard against his Parkinsons and alzheimers, but now he is at rest. Ken really had a hard time with the limitations of the Parkinsons, but he found the alzheimers even harder.
The family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Association or a Parkinsons research organization in lieu of flowers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1st from 1-3pm with a Chapel Service starting at 3pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd. in Fremont.
