Obituary For Kenneth Dean Castoe

Beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. Born in Oakland, California to George and Thelma Castoe, Ken lived most of his life in Newark and Fremont. He was a graduate of Newark High School in Newark, CA. Ken worked over 25 years in the machinist trade as a tool and die maker. He was an accomplished woodworker and avid fisherman.

Beloved son to George Castoe of Manteca, brother to Chuck Castoe and his wife Dianne of Emmet, ID. Loving father to Lisa Hall and her husband Randy of Madera and Angela Castoe of Rocklin. Brother-in-law to Mike Jerde of Chula Vista and Janet Lunde and her husband Carsten of Newark. Grandfather to Douglas Hall of Modesto, Sarah Farinsky of Meridian, ID, and Jessica and Michael Farinsky of Rocklin. Uncle to Deanna, Roy, Tammy, Terry, Michael, Mandy, Marianne, Erik, and Fawnia. Ken was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn, mother Thelma, mother-in-law Mary, father-in-law Warren, sister Louise, sister-in-law Kathy, nephew Daniel, and niece Shawn.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 19th, 2014, 1pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Ken’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
