Obituaries

Kenneth Rodriguez grew up in Redwood City, California, where he graduated from Sequoia High School. He loved sports and was even a member of the swim team. After graduation, he moved to Fremont, California, in 1960.

Ken was highly athletic and had a wide variety of interests. He was a member of his local gym for over 50 years, where he loved to pump iron four days a week. Ken also loved to scuba dive, mountain bike, water ski, snow ski, and hike. He especially loved camping at Mt. Shasta, where he and his friends would water ski behind the speedboat Ken built himself. He and his beloved wife, Carole, enjoyed traveling to far-off places for scuba diving adventures, some of which even included swimming with sharks!

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Carole; his sister, Sandy (Bob) Calvert; his sister-in-law, Ann Rodriguez; his son, Ronald Rodriguez; his daughter, Karyn (Tracy) Larson; his stepdaughter, Terry (Vito) Ciarfaglio; his stepson, Rick (Marcella) Silva; as well as two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Isabel Rodriguez, and his brothers, Donald and Jimmy Rodriguez.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
