Obituary For Kevin Lee Silveira

Kevin Lee Silveira passed away Saturday night January 7, 2023, surrounded by family at the age of 54. He was an honest and loyal person. He loved animals and filled the air with the music in his heart. When he was up, he lifted everyone. He went in peace just the way he wanted to and now joins his father, Richard Silveira. Kevin lives on in the stories told by his brother Rick Silveira and sister Debbie Bennett. His mother Kathy Silveira (Zima) cared for him until the end and never gave up on him. He was "Uncle Kev" to two generations of nieces & nephews who will always remember him.

Although I had not seen or spoke to Kevin in two decades, I was very sad to hear the news today. Kevin played drums in my band American Heartbreak for a few years. Solid beats but a bigger heart. We spent a lot of time laughing and sharing our passion for music. Blessings to his mom. Be light, and remember , you did a great job.

Kev would reminisce of his drumming glory days with a sense of proud accomplishment that one could tell meant a great deal to him. His kindness for and love of all animals was a pure sweetness, touching, heartwarming . . . he loved his Abby so 🐾🐾

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about Kevin. He was such a big part of my life growing up. I will always hold Kevin and your whole family in a special place in my heart. He was such an incredible soul and an amazing musician. I can't pick up my bass without remembering all the good times we had jamming at your house. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives and for taking me in our senior year, those are memories I will cherish forever. Prayers and Love to you and your family- Randy

Sending Beats and Songs of Comfort to Kevin's family and Friends during this time. I Met Kevin/aka Robin in the 90s during a Amazing Music time in the Bay.From the moment I met him he just touched my soul. He had just a light within him that shined and a heart of Gold.He introduced me to so many nice people i would not have met otherwise. Always Let me know when cool bands were playing and was Like my big brother even though I was older. He used to walk me home from clubs when I was alone so I got home safe. Used to make me Cds and Tapes of his newest stuff for my road trips. Just a Beautiful soul. I hope he finds his Forever Band souronded by all the fur babies in the after life. He will be missed. Shine on dear Kev ...

Kathy, my parents and I are so sad to hear of Kevin's passing. We have fond memories of the two (David and Kevin) playing together in their youth. I hope they can meet again in heaven. Peace be with you and your family. Much love to you all. Rick, Judy and Tammy Haire

Kevin was our next door neighbor. We will miss him and wish healing wishes for Kathy and her family.

I only knew Kevin for a short period of time, playing together in a local band. He was such a joy to be around, and an incredibly reliable drummer — I never had to worry about the beat. We toured the country together and had such wonderful (and silly) times. I wish his friends and family the very best during this difficult time. God bless...
