Kevin Mitchell Johnson Resident of Colorado Springs, CO May 15, 1961 - May 17, 2014

Kevin Mitchell Johnson passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 17, 2014, two days after his 53rd birthday, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kevin was born May 15, 1961, in Washington, D.C., to William J. Johnson Jr. and Margaret M. Johnson. He graduated from Washington High School in Fremont, California and attended Ohlone College in Fremont. Kevin worked in commercial real estate.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Lawlor of Sonoma, California; his father, William (Bill) Johnson Jr. of Pleasanton, California; his brothers and sister: William (Jim) and Bridget Johnson of Anamosa, Iowa, Michael and Laura Johnson of Rocklin, California, Brian and Crusita Johnson of Fremont, California and Robert (Bob) and Mary Ann DeRenzi of Pleasanton, California; nieces and nephews: Jenna, Jaclyn and James Johnson, Caitlin Armstrong, Meghan and Cooper Johnson, Leah and Jessica Johnson and Melissa and Christopher DeRenzi; great-nephews: Wesley and Vincent Armstrong; and many friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret M. Johnson on July 17, 2011.

One of Kevin's greatest joys was cooking and entertaining, and he loved to bring people together to share in incredible meals. Kevin will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 10am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Friends and family are invited to an informal gathering following the service in the De Sousa House at Holy Spirit Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kevin to Sister John Marie's Pantry, St. Joseph Church, PO Box 3276, Fremont, CA 94539.
