Entered into rest on November 23, 2012 in Turlock at the age of 83. Beloved mother of Shirley Corlett and her husband Dave of Patterson, Sharon Garcia and her husband James of Patterson, Sandra Fisher and her husband Larry of Fremont, and Sheryl Rodriguez and her husband Kim of Union City. Grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 15. Cherished sister of Mary Lippo of FL, James Sacco of Shasta, Barbara Saljian of NC, and Rosa Buchanan of San Clemente. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born February 25, 1929 in Pine Bluff, AR, LaWanda was a member of Fremont First Assembly for over 50 years. She was most recently a member of Family Christian Center in Patterson. Now she resides with the King of Kings.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27, from 5-8pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. A Chapel Service will begin on Wednesday, November 28, 11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Fremont, CA.
