Obituary For Leocadia Neves Sousa
Born on February 25th, 1935 in Azores, and entered into rest on May 5th, 2016 in Fremont, California at the age of 81. Survived by her children: Maria Teixeira (Cesar), Adelina Sousa (Roberto De Lima), and Tiberio De Sousa; grandchildren: Jennifer (Ken), Ariel, Elizabeth (Richard), Christie, Brandon, and Heidi; great-grandchildren: Joseph, Cruz, Megan, Chris, and Sean; and siblings: Maria Neves, Anna Correia, Alice Prudencio, Lina Leal, and Arnaldo Prudencio. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Manuel Sousa, and her daughter Mary Fatima Coelho.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9th, from 5:30-8pm with a Vigil at 6:30pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10th, 10:30am at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Ave., Newark, CA 94560. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

Leona was a wonderful woman and friend to my family, particulary my Mother. She will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, you wonderful gracious woman! God Bless you!
