Obituary For Leopoldo H. Garcia

Leopoldo “Leo” Garcia passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 69, in Manteca, California. Leo’s love for baseball was apparent as he watched his final Giants win, the night he passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him. Born on August 4, 1952, to his parents Daniel and Sebastiana “Ana” Garcia. Predeceased by his parents and siblings Danny, Ofelia, and Julio. Survived by his wife Rosemarie, siblings Lucy and Gloria, daughters Angela and Diane, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Leo loved all things sports, worked hard his entire life but mostly loved his friends and family. Many say what they will always remember of him is that he would do anything for anyone that needed it and when he said he would be there or do something, he most certainly did keep his word. Aside from playing softball for many years, he loved his work as an umpire for various leagues and has many trophies and awards to show for all his hard work. Leo will be missed dearly. He will be honored in a celebration of life on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Fremont Memorial Chapel at 12:00pm.
