Obituaries

LeRoy G. Ulrich, 95, a native of Fresno, CA, passed peacefully at home on May 5, 2013. His mother was Estella Grace Gardner and father Theodore Herman Ulrich, both from Fresno. His sister, Julia J. Hill, passed June 27, 2004.

LeRoy was a highly skilled mill man, first working at Hollenbeck-Bush Planing Mill and then RPM in Fresno where he retired at age 62. He remained a member of the Carpenters Union in Fresno. He built two family homes in Fresno, and helped both sons build and remodel their homes. He later built wood toys as a hobby. He enjoyed working in his shop, his vegetable gardens, and maintaining a spotless yard.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 73 years, Irene, 2 sons, Ron (Judy) and Ken (Ruby), 4 grandchildren, Jeff Ulrich, Darrel Ulrich, Lisa Stark, and Sean Ulrich, and 5 great grandchildren, Alexandra Ulrich, Benjamin Ulrich, Matthew Stark, Jillian Stark, and Elissa Ulrich.

LeRoy will be remembered as a dedicated and hard working husband and father. He especially enjoyed sitting in the recent warm sunshine and will be missed by all who knew him.

Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 1pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Private family burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Fresno, CA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.
