Obituary For Liliana M. Alfaro

Liliana Margarita Alfaro, died Oct. 21, 2025, in Fremont, Calif. She was 44 years old.

Liliana was born on Dec. 15, 1980, in Sonsonate, El Salvador. During her childhood and adolescence, she enjoyed participating in a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, soccer and swimming. She was actively involved in her church youth group and with the Lions Club, both in the name of service to her community. In her free time, she enjoyed writing poetry and reading. She was a life-long fan of classical music and alternative rock.

From 2013 to 2020, she was an advocate for families as a family partner with the Mental Health Association of Alameda County.

Liliana was and shall always be loved by family and friends, who will keep her legacy alive in the beautiful and joyous memories they will forever hold close. Her family’s unwavering faith in God gives them the peace that Liliana is in a better place, near the almighty.

She is survived by son Joshua Manuel Alfaro, daughter Genevieve Antoinette Alfaro, mother Flor de Maria Aquino de Alfaro, sister Adriana Alfaro, nephew Jose Luis Chavez Jr, aunt Rosa Margarita Aquino Ruiz, uncles Jose Roberto Aquino Ruiz, and Carlos Alfonso Aquino Ruiz; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by father Rene Alfonso Alfaro, paternal grandfather Oscar Alfaro, paternal grandmother Consuelo Alfaro, maternal grandfather José Dolores Aquino and maternal grandmother Haydeé Ruiz de Aquino.
