Obituaries

Lillian Estonilo Ruby (formerly known as Lilian Ruby Cagawan) was born in the Philippines on May 18, 1942 and passed away on September 15, 2021. She had a very lengthy career service with the State of California.

She is survived by her son, Rodger and granddaughter Audrey, as well as her adopted daughters Rosalie, Rosemin and Rachelle and other grandchildren. She was also survived by her sister, Teresita Ciron, several nieces and nephews. She was a devout Catholic and religiously spent time in meditational prayer. She strived to give back to her family, friends and community by caring for her family needs and volunteering her services with a number of parishes in the East Bay. She loved working in the garden.

Viewing will be held at the Chapel of the Roses in Fremont on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church in Oakland on October 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral services at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward at 2:00 PM.
