Obituary For Lillith M Engley
Mrs. Lillith Engley passed away on May 30, 2020 in San Leandro, CA. She is survived by her daughter Leila Kadhim. Nieces and nephews Rita Purdue and family, Bobby Couch, Flor Maria Gressel, Ricardo and Gressel, and many more. Also survived by her late husband’s sons from previous marriage Glen and Bruce Engley and family’s.
Lillith was an A’s fan, having attended games with her husband David as season Ticket holders. She and David loved to travel. They attended the theater, concerts and vacationed. She loved telenovelas, movies, spending time with family and friends. Lillith was a loving and devoted mother and wife. She was a fashionista in her time and was always generous with her friends lending them a kind ear, open heart and a helping hand. A very talented dancer growing up, she used to tap dance in her toe shoes and did Flamenco, polenisian dance, salsa ... She had a very happy childhood grew up in a family of seven brother and sisters on a Navy base with her decorated Navy dad and loving mom. She also played girls basketball growing up and her dad proudly attended her games. A college graduate, she was employed first by RCA for 10 years in Indianapolis and moved to California where she spent her best years at Alameda Naval Air Station as an Elctronic Mechanic, where she met her second husband and love of her life for 41 years David Engley.
Flowers or Donations St. Judes children’s cancer hospital, cancer society, Tri city homeless shelter in Fremont, CA, operation smile, Sacred Heart Society, and St. Joseph’s Indian school. A private Catholic Service will be held at Fremont Chapel of the Roses on June 19, 2020.
