Obituary For Lorraine Bettencourt Rodrigues
Entered into rest on November 7, 2012 in Fremont, CA at the age of 96. Devoted mother to Ron Rodrigues of Fremont. Precious sister of Dorothy Phippen of Fremont. Beloved aunt of Laurel Nelson, and Barbara Strain. Cherished cousin of Winnie Bronzon. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph V. Rodrigues in 1970.
Born April 30, 1916 in Newman, CA, Lorraine was a member of Native Daughters of the Golden West, and AARP. She enjoyed painting.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 6pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 15, 10am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

Dear Ron...I am Susan Vargas Murphy, your aunt Dorothy's godchild. Rosemary called to tell me that your mother had died this month and I just found this memorial today. I just wanted to extend my sympathy to you. I know your mom had been so sick for so long, but still, we only have one mother and no one can relace her. Thank you for taking such good care of Dorothy.
