Obituary For Louis Francis Wagoner
Louis “Lou” Wagoner Resident of Fremont November 17, 1929 – August 5, 2015
We’ve lost our loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Louis Wagoner was born in Loogootee, Indiana. He was the son of John and Margaret Wagoner and part of a family of 9 siblings. He succumbed to his illnesses brought on in recent weeks due to a recent fall.
After serving in the Army for 5 years and retiring as a Sergeant, Louis settled in the Midwest. There he met his wife of 61 years. After living a few years in Missouri, they moved to California where he worked both in the automotive and aircraft industries, eventually joining and working for McDonnell Douglas which later became part of Boeing. He retired from Boeing after 27 years as a Quality and Reliability Engineer concentrating in the areas of electronics and safety systems.
In retirement, Louis really enjoyed living near his grandchildren and was fortunate enough to be able to be a part of their lives, attending all of their school, sporting, and family events through the years, all the way until their adulthood.
Louis was an avid reader, skilled handyman, and very much enjoyed helping friends, neighbors, and family.
Prior to moving to Fremont, Louis and his family were longtime residents of Gilroy, CA.
Louis Wagoner is survived by his loving wife, Emma Jean Wagoner, his son Jim Wagoner and daughter-in-law Angela Wagoner, his two grandchildren, Chris and Acacia Wagoner and his sister Theresa Mattingly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8th, from 3-5pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
