Obituaries

Lucina Ulloa Chavez was born July 8, 1926 in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico. She entered into rest, peacefully, November 8, 2014 at the age of 88. She was a resident of Fremont since 1950.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband James Chavez, her son James Chavez, Jr., and her daughter Linda Ruby Chavez Grajeda.

She is survived by her daughters: Yolanda Klemundt of Las Cruces, NM, Sylvia Chavez of Hayward, CA, and Baltita L. Brennan of Fremont, CA; her grandchildren: Thomas Bond of Hoffman Estates, IL, Laura Kamowich of Arlington Heights, IL, Miss Leah Wren O Brennan (Lee Lee to her grandma) of Fountain Valley, CA, and Sara Rose Klemundt of Albuquerque, NM; her great-grandchildren: John Kamowich of Chicago, IL, Nicole Pignato of Palatine, IL, and Charles Kamowich of Chicago, IL; and her great-great grandchildren: Kailey and Austin Pignato. She is also survived by her brother Felipe Ulloa of San Jose, and many nieces and nephews.

Lucina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, and a wonderful friend to many. Lucina gave her time to volunteer at the Fremont Senior Center for many years until she was not able. She will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, from 9-10am and a Chapel Service will begin at 10am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery, 41001 Chapel Way, Fremont, CA 94538.
