Obituary For Margaret Evelyn Ireland
Entered into rest on February 18, 2012 in Fremont at the age of 89. Devoted mother to Marilyn DeSantis of San Diego, Beverly Bellopatrick and her husband George of Aurora, CO, and John Ireland of Fremont. Beloved grandmother of Todd, David, Robert, Michael, Laura, George, and Michael. Great-grandmother of 11. Cherished sister of Laverne, and Lynette. Predeceased by her husband John F. Ireland in 1979 and by her sister Annette.
Born July 2, 1922 in San Francisco, Margaret was a secretary at Walkup and Downing Law Offices in San Francisco for almost 40 years. She enjoyed knitting, needle point, bowling, golf, and hiking. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to places such as England, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Africa, and Australia. They also loved traveling to Yosemite and Hawaii which they visited numerous times.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 9-10am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. A committal service will follow at 11am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Margaret Ireland was a warm, loving and wonderful 'mom' to everyone who passed through the hallways of the Walkup Office for 40 years. She was also very intelligent and efficient ! I am sure she is enjoying the 'Heavenly Links' and mastering them like she did Shadow Cliffs ! Hon. Jeffrey Holl, Admin. Law Judge, St.of Cal. (Walkup '81-'99)
