Obituaries

Margaret was born in Oakland, CA to Paula Lara Ortiz on July 11th 1948. She fought a long battle with cancer and her family surrounded her when she went to be with the Lord on September 17th 2019 at the age of 71. Her husband is Marvin Guigneaux, whom she has been married to for 31 years. She has five sisters; Jenny, who is with the Lord, Jessie, Mary, Angel, Emily and one brother, Peter. She has seven children; Rina, Marilyn, Olivia, Jesse, Lisa, Rachael and Renee. She has 31 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren.

Margaret worked at Nummi for 25 years until it shut down in 2010; this is where she met her husband. As a hobby she loved to paint by numbers, cook, travel and once retired, she loved to be able to go to each one of her kid’s home to cook their family a dinner, the farthest she traveled to do this was over an hour away. She loved to laugh and was the glue to our family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont. A Chapel Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Mortuary. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
