Obituary For Maria Carolina Aiello
Maria was born on September 4th, 1920 in Castelsilano, Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1955 with her husband and two daughters. Maria’s hobbies included cooking, gardening, and sewing. She was an avid baker and enjoyed making Italian pastries and cookies. Maria was a member of the Italian American Catholic Federation of Fremont, very dedicated to her faith, and a long time parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont, CA.
Beloved Wife of Giuseppe Aiello, married for nearly 68 years prior to his death in July of 2006.
Beloved Mother to her two daughters- Catherine D’Ambrosio and her husband Don D’Ambrosio, residents of Pleasanton, CA, Daughter Rose Blandino and her husband Joe Blandino, residents of Fremont, CA.
Beloved Grandmother to her five Grandchildren- John Marra and his wife Roseanne Marra, residents of Fremont, CA., Joanne Ennis and her husband Mitchell Ennis, residents of San Ramon, CA, Joe Blandino and his wife Stephanie Blandino, residents of San Francisco, CA, Joe Marra and his wife Romy Marra, residents of San Ramon, CA, and Paul Blandino, resident of San Francisco, CA. Beloved Great Grandmother to her seven Great Grandchildren, John Marra, Donny Marra, James Ennis, Jacob Ennis, Lauren Marra, Francesca Marra, and Taylor Marra.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations on behalf of Maria sent to the American Cancer Society at Cancer.org or to the American Red Cross at redcross.org.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, from 5-7pm and the Vigil will begin at 7pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 15th, 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 43148 Mission Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

I have these good memories of my Auntie Mary, of being such a wonderful hostess when we came to visit her from Washington . Such delicious food she prepared , and so much ! And the pastries ; even to take home with us !! She walked tall and straight - a beautiful Christian woman . A blessing to us. With love , Fran Jackson
