Mrs. Maria Isaura Rebelo, age 90, of Madeira, Portugal, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 23, 2021, at the residence of her loving son, in Eagle, Idaho.

She was born on April 8, 1930, in the parish of Madalena do Mar on the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira, a daughter of the late Manuel and Luzia Sousa Pereira.

Isaura was preceded in death by her late husband of 46 years, António Reis Rebelo. She was a devoted and loving caregiver to her husband for nearly twenty-three years prior to his passing in December 2000. Isaura was also preceded in death by two brothers, António “Necas” Pereira and Américo Pereira.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, talking with neighbors and friends, baking sweets that she shared with neighbors, shopping for those unable to do so for themselves, and spending time with her son, granddaughters, and great-grandson.

Isaura is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Rafaela Rebelo; two grandchildren, Sonia Cristina Rebelo and Paula Cristina Rebelo Torres; and one great-grandson, Miguel Torres; one brother and sister-in law, Arturo and Teresa Pereira; and one sister-in-law, Tammy Rebelo. She also leaves many other family members and friends that will deeply miss her.

Rosary will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Boise, Idaho at 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Funeral mass to follow at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, California.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Meals on Wheels serving the Treasure Valley or Idaho Foodbank—in memory of Mrs. Maria Isaura Rebelo—are welcome and greatly appreciated.
