  I am so sorry to hear about Marie, we were good friends working together and still shared emails back and forth during our retirement. I didn't know she was sick. My heart goes out to her family. I will always remember Marie, I am so sad. Joyce Weisel

  I remember when I was about 7 years old I came in the house one afternoon. Marie was sitting at the kitchen table and she said she had won a paint set for me. The radio station had some kind of radio bingo and she was playing a card for each of us. I thought that was really neat but no paint set came and I forgot all about it. It must have been a month or more later a man was cutting grass in the ditch by the highway in front of our farm and he found a box. We don't know how it got there but it was my paint set. Then I was really excited. I thought what Marie had done was so cool (actually I probably thought it was neat - cool wasn't in my vocabulary yet) because I thought she could have kept that paint set for herself and I would never have known the difference.

  I worked with Marie at United Airlines in the Red Carpet Room. It was always a joy working with her. So sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and know that your United family is thinking of her.

  To the family of Marie Huemoeller: I send my deepest sympathy following the loss of your beloved Marie. I had the pleasure of working with Marie at United during the last 5 years before she retired. United and many fellow employees may not have known Marie the way I saw her day in and day out on the job. You could not find a more dedicated and compassionate person who took her job seriously and she tried to give the best service that she could to our customers. One day after I had retired, I ran in to Marie in the baggage claim area at SFO. After exchanges about our flights and our trip,our conversation turned to "where did you park"? I had parked at the long term lot. Marie informed me about the United retiree free parking across from the UAL maintenance base. I didn't know about this free parking for retirees, but since that day, I have been using it whenever I have had an opportunity, and it has saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you Marie. You were a true friend and I will miss you. I hope this benefits others who may not know. Again, my deepest sympathy to all her family members. Sincerely, Gib Cattanach .
