Obituary For Marilyn Anderson Schilling

Born on March 5th, 1938 in Omaha, NE, and entered into rest on February 5th, 2017 in Fremont, CA, at the age of 78. She passed away due to complications from Alzheimer's, surrounded by her family. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Wesley Schilling; children: Scott Schilling (Janelle), and Cindy Shively (Ted); grandchildren: Devin, Eric, Trevor Shively, and Sierra Schilling; and great grandchildren: Amy, and Ellie Shively.

Marilyn worked at Youngster's and Gift Gallery at the Fremont Hub for many years. She loved her flowers and plants. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed needlepoint, and was very artistic in all different aspects including toll painting.

A Memorial Service will be held March 5, 2017 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1301 Mowry Ave., Fremont, CA 94536 at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in Carlson Hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marilyn to the Alzheimer's Association for Research.

Kirk Siegfried

Marilyn was like a second mother to me, I've been friends with Scott since kindergarten, & probably spent nearly half of my youth in the Schilling house. Marilyn was one of the kindest most loving people I have ever known, & I am a better person just for knowing her. My heart goes out to the family as they deal with her passing. She will be greatly missed.
