Marjorie S. Carnes, 73, of Newark passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

Marjorie worked at Washington Hospital in Fremont, California for 36 years retiring in 2016. She loved cooking delicious dinners for her family and friends. Marjorie also loved the ocean (beach), Redwood Forests, and gardening.

She is survived by her beloved husband James Carnes, Sister Lynda (Ken) Hughes. Daughters Karen Carnes (Brent White), Kimberly Hembey, Rebecca (Austin) Ramos. 8 Grandchildren Matthew (Megan) Hembey, James (Autumn) Hawkins, Nathan Taylor, Dylan Hembey, Natalee Taylor, Gianna Fragoso. 3 Great Grandchildren, Kinslee Hawkins, Matteo Hawkins, Izabella Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her parents Naomi Cooper, Joe F. Cooper.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, 12:00 pm with Visitation beginning at 11:00 am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont.
