Mary A. Trudell, 75, of Fremont, California, formerly of Cambridge, Illinois, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Fremont, California. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Trudell will be held on Saturday, February 16, 10:30am at the Wheelan-Pressly Family of Funeral Homes, 201 East 4th Avenue, Milan, IL 61264. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Quad Cities Honor Flight. Mary was born on October 17, 1937 in Eliza, Illinois, a daughter of August and Eunice Allen Wagner. She married Douglas E. Trudell on November 14, 1986 in Davenport, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 2009. Mary graduated from Western Illinois University with a master?s degree in education. She taught for many years in the public school system and later taught at the East Moline Correctional Center. She retired from teaching in 1988.

Survivors include her children: Tim Darchuck of Fremont, California, Matthew Darchuck of Elgin, Illinois, William Darchuck of Rockford, Illinois, and Carrie (Kevin) Winkel of Port Bryon, Illinois; grandchildren: Rachael, Reese, Chantelle and Damian; siblings: Wendell (Kilsun) Wagner of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dwight (Susie) Wagner of Rock Island, Illinois, and Marcie Ripley of Marion, Iowa.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Douglas; her brothers: Louis Wagner, Richard Wagner, and Carl Wagner; and her niece Diana Wagner.
