Obituary For Mary Ellen Matias
Born April 22, 1943 in San Francisco, CA, and entered into rest on August 21, 2014 in Newark, CA at the age of 71. Survived by her children: Steven Matias of Avenal, Ronald Matias of Newark, and Christine Lewis and her husband Todd of Tracy; grandchildren: Jennifer, Jessica, Jordyn, and Jamilyn; great-grandchildren: Julian, Joel, and Janelle; and siblings: Joseph Wiese of Chiloquin, OR, and Patricia Ford and her husband John of Pacifica. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Rodney Matias in 2000.
A Memorial Service will be held for Mary on Saturday, August 30, 11am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.

We all lost such a wonderful friend and family member. Mary was such an important member of our family. We have beautiful memories of her warm heart, compassion for her family and mine. She will be missed by so many. There is a huge void in all our lives with her passing. Thank you Mary for all the years we were able to share in your warm smile, loving ways and being an important part of our lives. Our family celebrations will not be the same without you. I miss you so much my dear friend. Rest in peace. You will forever be in my heart and prayers. God bless you. My thoughts and prayers are with you Ron, Chris and Steve.

Mary was one of a kind and our family loved her (and her family) dearly. She attended every gathering any of us had and would put a smile on your face at each event! Rest in peace, Mary, we love and miss you. Bonnie, Katy and Shawn.
