Obituaries

On August 30, 2012, the Good Lord called Mamie to join Him and her beloved husband "Jake" who preceded her in death, to be in Heaven for eternal peace and happiness.

Mamie was born and raised in Newark where she lived her entire life except for a few years in Pine Grove, CA. She returned to Newark to live out her final three years. The last two years she lived at the Sunrise Retirement Inn in Newark under the loving care of Nattie Roux RN, Owner and caretakers Lodi, Sylvia, Jose and Alpine.

She is survived by her son Jerry Springer (Cookie), Union City and her daughter Janet Luiz, Cornville, Arizona, Seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Mamie was a member of St. Edward's Parish, SPRSI Organization and a volunteer of St. Vincent de Paul.

Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Holy Spirit Mausoleum.
