Obituary For Milo Florendo

Milo Florendo died on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the age of 76. He was a resident of Santa Clara for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Daisy (Goltiao) Florendo; his children Michael (Danielle) Florendo, Michelle (Justin) Burkholder; and eight grandchildren, Luke, Haylee, Nick, Lucy, Courtney, Cassidey, Chloe, and Calissa.

Milo was born on June 16, 1947, in the Philippines to Pascual and Dominga (Claro) Florendo. He graduated from the Philippine School of Business Administration in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He and his wife Daisy were married in 1977; and after two years, they welcomed twins into their home. After moving to San Jose, Milo began working for the United States Postal Office as a mail carrier. He worked as a postal carrier for 27 years.

His children remember him as a patient and loving father who took time to teach and encourage to prepare them for the future.

Milo was passionate about missions and telling others about Jesus and often gave financially or materially to several missionaries. He served as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader in the Philippines before immigrating to the United States. Milo was a loyal and wise individual who loved his family and church. He was an active and devout member of the North Valley Baptist Church and served as a deacon, choir member, usher, and in the Filipino ministry. He helped start the Filipino Ministry in May of 1986.

Viewing hours will be at North Valley Baptist Church on June 25, 2024, from 9:00AM-11:00AM with the funeral service starting at 11:00AM.
