Obituary For Minister Frederick L. Manning Jr.
Minister Frederick L. Manning Jr. passed away on July 15th at the age of 52. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Rev. Frederick Leray Manning Sr. and Josie Manning, his “baby” sister, La Shellé Renée Manning, his son, Patrick Manning, three aunts, Peggy Green, Debra Ponder and Paula Fuller, nine first cousins, Sheadrah L. Manning III, Tuurischeva Green, Knecaya Green, Alice McArthur, Mattie McArthur, George McArthur III., Babatunde Onadele Jr., Abiola Onadele, Jalen Ponder and a host of other cousins, uncles, aunts and friends. Minister Frederick Leray Manning Jr. was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Sheadrah L. Manning Sr. and Christina Manning, his maternal grandparents Deacon Albert L. Fuller Sr. and Mattie Fuller, four uncles, Sheadrah L. Manning Jr., Wendell Manning, George McArthur and Albert L. Fuller Jr. and one aunt, Sharon R. Onadele.
Frederick’s hobbies included playing basketball, spades, dominoes, and working on cars, while fishing was a passion of his. So much so, he started a YouTube channel called Fish On Freddy. He enjoyed witnessing to others and sharing his catch of the day with family, friends and frying fish for the homeless in the park.
The Celebration of Life for Minister Frederick L. Manning Jr. will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 10:00am at Foothill Missionary Baptist Church located at 1530 Foothill Blvd. Oakland, CA 94606.

Fred we met as early teens in a time where Fremont had a way about us. We made it through. We never made our planned fishing trip, but I will make you fishers of men if you follow me. So we were always fishing together. Love you Fred Paul Laster
