Obituary For Norma C. Henry

Norma passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Dan. She is survived by her 3 children - Dan Henry, Jim Henry (Wendy), and Susan Zegura (Petar); 4 grandchildren – Sarah Tinker (Chris), Kelly Henry (Danny), Matthew Sullivant (Sunaina) and Shannon Hulse (Jerry); 6 great-grandchildren- Lena, Stella, and Eli Tinker, Benjamin and Conor Hulse, and Kai Sullivant.

Norma was a homemaker and fantastic cook. She was very sweet, kind and loving to her family, as well as to everyone who knew her. Family was extremely important to her especially when she became Gi-Gi, first as a grandmother and then as a great-grandmother.

She was born and raised in San Francisco, graduating from Balboa High School. She was the last survivor of a group of 8 “girls” who met in high school and formed a life-long friendship calling themselves the “Satan’s Debs”. She and Dan raised their family in South San Francisco. In retirement, she and Dan moved to Magalia and had 20 wonderful years living in the “country”. In 2000, they moved back to Redwood City and eventually moved to Fremont in 2008. Gi-Gi will be sorely missed!

Norma’s family would like to thank Aegis of Fremont for the care and loving environment they provided for her these past 2 years.

A private family celebration of life has been held in her honor, as was her wish. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
