Orlene was a member of the computer/genealogy club "Family Tree Hackers" which comprised members from the Fremont/Newark/Union City corridor. Orlene was a wealth of knowledge to all of us, given her expertise with genealogical research. We enjoyed attending the many luncheons, annual Christmas Party dinners and even research trips to Salt Lake City over the years with her. All of us at Family Tree Hackers (Newark, CA) wish to express our sincerest condolences to Orlene's husband, Don, and her two children and grandchildren. We will miss her smile, amazing wit, research techniques, and debating talents. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you mourn the loss of your wife, mother, and grandmother. Here's hoping our friend, Orlene, is at peace and has now found the answers to all of her "brick walls". With our love and friendship, Pat Milanese, President Family Tree Hackers

We treasured Orlene as a member of Forrest Parlor No. 86, Plymouth. We did not have Orlene's address after she moved from the Fairfield area but decided to continue her membership as a way of thanking her for the many years and love she gave us with her research of the Native Daughters of the Golden West history. Orlene had a big part in the research for the Pioneer Archives Committee located at the Grand Parlor Office inside the Native Daughters Home at Baker Street in San Francisco. She helped research history for the 100th anniversary celebration of Forrest Parlor in 1995. She was a role model for integrity and truth. Barbara Seaton, Recording Secretary Forrest Parlor No. 86, Plymouth California
