Obituaries

Oscar passed away at the age of 81. He was a loving father, grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 20 great-grandchildren. Oscar was born in Sonora, AZ and worked as a machinist for 35 years at United Can. He enjoyed spending time with his great-grandkids. Oscar loved listening to Mexican music, watching The Price Is Right, and going to the Flea Market. He is survived by his children Steve, Doreen, Louie, JoAnne and Bobby. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Rachael Lira, son David Lira Sr., and grandsons David Lira Jr. and Daniel Lira.

A memorial service will be held for Oscar on Friday, June 29, 1pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
