Obituaries

Patricia (Patty) Ann Nimedez went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the age of 63. Patty is survived by her daughter Felicia Flores; son-in-law Samuel Flores; her son Andrew Nimedez; her granddaughters Angelina Goins and Avi Nimedez, as well as her grandson Samuel Flores. Patty will be deeply missed by her siblings Martha Rosales (Jose), Marina Benavides (Arturo), Rebecca Hernandez (Ruben), Michael Gonzalez (Mary), Mario Gonzalez, Adam Gonzalez (Misty), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Roberto G. Gonzalez and Mary Ayala Gonzalez, as well as her brother Robert Gonzalez.

Patty was born in Hayward, California and raised in Niles, Fremont. Patty was soft-spoken but fun, brave, loving, caring, and a giving person who helped others whenever she could. She was artistic and a free spirit. Three of her favorite past-times were playing the game Jenga with her 3-year-old great-nephew Daniel Jr., jewelry making and painting. She also enjoyed working in her mother’s beautiful flower garden. Patty loved pets especially her longtime tortoise Biggie. Patty touched many lives with her gentle and giving ways. She will be missed and always in our hearts.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Church, 37891 2nd St., Fremont, CA 94536 on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11am. Interment will be at 1:30pm at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6320 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544.
