Obituaries

Patricia Susan Burner passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 67 at her home in Fremont from ovarian cancer. She is survived by her husband John, her daughters Karen (and husband Ryan) and Christy (and husband Fred); her grandchildren Ethan, Finn, and Noemi; her sister Barbara; and her brother Robert. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank S. and Anna A. Broughton.

She worked as a developmental editor of college biology textbooks for 40 years and was an active member of the Saint Anne Catholic Community.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, May 16, at 10 am at Saint Anne Catholic Church, 32223 Cabello Street, Union City, CA 94587.

Donations in her name may be made to Catholic Charities, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, the Sierra Club, the Yosemite Conservancy, East Bay Regional Parks, or the Nine Lives Foundation.
