Pearl Canavesio Zamora died December 25, 2012 in Fremont, California. She was born on March 13, 1924 in Merced, California.

She was widowed after 52 years of marriage to Louis Valdez Zamora. Together, they raised a family of 5 children; Louis D. Zamora of Felton, CA, Frances Preston of Grants Pass, Oregon, Rudy Zamora of Fremont, CA, Anita Stuart of Mountain View, CA. and preceded in death by her son, Ron Zamora. Pearl also had 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Pearl was also preceded in death by her brother John Canavesio. She also had many cousins, nieces and nephews, and lots of friends.

Mostly a stay at home mom, Pearl also had various part time jobs including the Sunshine Biscuit Company and at various cafeterias for the New Haven School District. She also babysat and volunteered at her grandchildren's various school functions. She loved to read, bake, sew, garden, and solve crossword puzzles. Pearl also enjoyed going out to eat with her friends and trying new restaurants.

Mrs. Zamora was a longtime member of the Fremont Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, loved by so many. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Pearl Zamora's life will be held on Saturday, January 5, at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1660 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
