Pero (Pete) Bagoje, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on April 28th. Born on May 1, 1943, in Dunave, Croatia to Andro and Jele Bagoje. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Andro.

Coming from humble beginnings Pero moved to the US with nothing but a determined work ethic which would become a defining characteristic of his leading to a successful career in real estate. He was also known for being incredibly persistent, kind hearted and generous. Finding joy in simple pleasures, such as gardening, leisurely walks, sweet snacks, but he found the most fulfilling thing above all was spending time with his family. His achievement of the American dream serves as an inspiration to all who knew him.

Pero is survived by his loving wife, Ann Bagoje, brothers Ivo and Niko Bagoje, son Andy Bagoje, grandson Aj Bagoje, and great-grandson Andrej Bagoje. He cherished his family above all else and considered them his greatest legacy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 11am at Fremont Chapel of Roses in Fremont, followed by a 1pm burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, a lunch reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the UCSF Cancer Center.

Pero Bagoje will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a blessing.
